# Why is AquaTank on the Solana Chain?

Our goal is to make DeFi available to the average household. Because of Ethereum’s high gas fees, most people are unable to access the Ethereum network. We chose the solana Chain because we want AquaTank to be accessible to everyone, including small holders. This, however, does not preclude us from utilising DeFi yield protocols on Ethereum.
